The Pender County Board of Education approved the appointment of Berry Simmons as interim principal at Topsail High School effective June 15. Mr. Simmons served as the principal of Topsail High School from July 2012 to February 2015.

“Topsail High School is a great school,” Simmons said. “My wife and I always felt like family in the Topsail community, and we are both excited to have the opportunity to return. It’s an exciting time to be a Pirate, and I am looking forward to continuing the tradition of excellence at Topsail High School.”
