Students Write Poetry and Participate in Performance

Students from Pender, Trask, and Topsail high schools were participants in Creative Writing/Performance Workshops, sponsored by the Pender Arts Council in partnership with Pender County Schools. Renown poet/performer, Glenis Redmond, inspired students to write their own poetry. Students attending the public performance, which was the culmination of two days of workshops, were invited to open Ms. Redmond's community performance by reciting their original poetry.
