West Pender Middle and Burgaw Middle Win 2009-2010 Championship

West Pender Middle School defeated Topsail Middle to win the Pender County Middle School Basketball Tournament Championship.  This is the third time in the last four years that West Pender Middle won the county championship.

The Burgaw Middle School Lady Red Devils Basketball team completed their 2009-2010 season undeafeated.  The team won the regular season with an 8-0 rcord and won the Pender Count Middle School Basketball Tournament Championship by defeating Cape fear Middle School.
