Behavior Support Services
It is our pleasure to help serve Pender County School System in the following ways:
- To provide training on topics identified by school teams focused on building capacity in the area of behavior management: prevention, intervention, and intensive intervention focused topics
- To p
rovide consultation to school staff and school-based teams on individual behavioral strategies, classroom management techniques, and school-wide positive behavior supports
To assist in the development of Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavioral Intervention Plans
To provide in-class observation, feedback, and coaching to teachers on implementation of behavior strategies
To collect school discipline data for purposes of designing professional development and alternative to suspension plans
To collect data and assist with on-going evaluation of behavior plans with recommendations for modifications
To work with family members, school personnel, community resources, and natural supports
