The North Carolina Teacher of The Year Program
is an opportunity to honor and recognize exemplary teachers and
 call attention to the importance of the teaching profession. 
Individual schools nominate teachers to participate in the local process.

Congratulations to April Kinlaw, fifth grade teacher at North Topsail Elementary School, for her selection as Pender County Teacher of the Year.  The announcement was made during a recognition banquet held May 27th at the Historic Burgaw Train Depot to honor 
Teacher of the Year Nominees from each school.
