Pender County Schools Child Nutrition Program organized a holiday canned food drive.  School district employees, students, and others made it possible for many families to enjoy nutritious meals during the holiday season.  The exact number of items collected is unknown but an estimated 325 to 700 pounds of dry goods were delivered to Pender County Christian Services on December 21.
