Penderlea School recently hosted a career fair.  Students were able to interview and get information from over 20 different professions and businesses.  Businesses and individuals who participated included:  District Court Judge, Pender County Mobile Dental Clinic, Four County Electric, North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, Pender County ITS, Curves, Department of Social Services, Burgaw Police Department, Pender County Sheriff, Pender Emergency Management, Mazzarone Construction, Probuild, Burgaw Library, Doctor, State Employees Credit Union, Clerk of Court, Public Works Department, WECT news anchor, Pender County 4-H, Department of Juvenile Justice.
