      Pender County Schools Preschool Program
 
   Reports to the Community in May 2010 for school year 2009-2010                             

Registration for next school year is underway.  If you have a child who is 3 or 4 yrs. old  on or before August 31, 2010, please call our administration office at 910-259-7603. We are located at 210 E. Fremont St., Burgaw, NC 28425. Children  with special needs and disabilites are encouraged to apply.  

Pender County Schools Preschool Program encompasses four separate funding sources into one comprehensive program.  Through grants funded by federal programs (Head Start and Title 1) and a state initiatives (More at Four and Smart Start of Pender County), PCS Preschool Program serves 224 children countywide in 14 classrooms at 6 sites. The program provides services for children ages 3-5 years and follows the Pender County Schools' calendar. Every classroom has a birth-kindergarten licensed teacher and small classroom sizes.

*It is mandated  by the Federal Government that the following data is reported to the community on an annual basis.
